My research expertise lies at the intersection of molecular biology, parasitology, and virology, with a specialized focus on (1) the molecular epidemiology of zoonotic malaria. Our team focuses on investigations on host-pathogen interactions, specifically evaluating malaria susceptibility in macaque populations using the genetic and genomic tools. In addition, the advance genomic tools such as Illumina sequencing and Oxford Nanopore, are now readily applied to investigate the fundamental concept of parasitic and viral diseases.
